[파리=신화통신/] 프랑스는 양국 간 상호협의 사항들을 처리하기 위해 북한(DPRK)에 상주사무실을 개설한다고 29일(목) 프랑스 외무부 대변인이 발표했다.

베르나르 발레로 대변인에 의하면 그 사무실은 수일 후 문화적, 인도주의적인 영역들을 담당하기 위한 임무와 함께 사무실이 개소될 예정이다.

프랑스 외교관 올리비에 바이세씨가 언어, 교육과 문화 등의 교류에 있어서의 인도적인 도움과 협조에 집중할 이 사무실을 이끌어갈 것이다.

비록 외교관계는 포함되지 않지만, 이것은 북한과 프랑스간의 공식적인 최초의 교류가 될 예정이다.

2009년 11월 프랑스의 공식 특사로 북한을 방문했던 잭 랑씨는 그의 북한 방문 결과로 북한에 상주사무소를 설립해 문화교류를 개시할 것을 제안했었다고 말했다.

유럽연합(EU)국들 중 프랑스와 에스토니아만 북한과 완전한 외교관계를 맺지 않은 오직 두 개의 국가이다.

PARIS, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- France is set to open an office in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to deal with some bilateral issues, a French foreign ministry spokesman said Thursday.

According to Benard Valero, the spokesman, the office is due to start function in the next few days with missions covering "the cultural and humanitarian domains."

French diplomat Olivier Vaysset will lead the bureau which focuses on humanitarian assistance and cooperation in language, education and cultural ex　　changes.

This will be the first official link between the DPRK and France though its mission did not include diplomatic ties.

France's former special envoy to Pyongyang Jack Lang said France had proposed to establish cultural links by setting up a standing organization in the DPRK following his visit in November 2009.

France and Estonia are the only two European 　　Union members without full diplomatic relations with DPRK.
